A Study on the Stress and the Complaint of the Menstruation of the Girls High School Students in Taejeon

Abstract
|
|
|
This study is done with 337 randomly sampled two girls high schools in Taejeon * order to survey the degree of the stress and the complaint of mentruation and to analize t e relationship between of them, from 10 to 20 on September in 1989. The major findings f this study may be summerized as follows.
1. The mean score for the degree of stress was 3.647 and high relatively, he severity degree of the stress of the subjects is as follows ; the contents about friendship in the same sex, school work and school life, home, friendship in the other sex and ets.
According to the analysis of cotents, "When other friends speak ill of behind their ", they are stressed the most but "When they feel anxiety their health", they are less stresses.
2. The severity degree of menstruation complaint is 2.736 it is not too higher. And severity degree of the menstrual complaint of subjects is as follow, mental symptoms, physical symptoms and school life obstacle and ets.
According to the analysis of menstruation complaint, "When sharpness", they are stressed the most but that "They have troubles in lesson in a classroom because of a pain of -menstruation" is most low.
3. In the relationship between the stress and complaint of menstruation, students whc have more stress have more menstruation complaint. This is statistically significant (R=O. 1562, p< 0.01).
In the relationship between the stress and the mental symptoms of the menstruatio stu - dents who have more stress have more mantal symptoms complaint. This was statis ically significant(R=0.1902, p<0.001).
